Facts About Homelessness in Durham County

For the period July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008, our fiscal year, average daily occupancy in the Urban Ministries of Durham Homeless Shelter was right around 112 people nightly. That works out to approximately 40,914 nights of shelter (a "night of shelter" being one person spending one night at the facility.

The Shelter served 1363 adults and 101 children for a total unduplicated count of 1,464 different people served.
